French Algeria
Overview[edit | edit source]
French Algeria is the last holding of the French Empire in mainland Africa. While it De jure controls the entirety of Algeria, it De facto only controls the city of Algiers.
History[edit | edit source]
In 1830, France invaded Algeria and was able to control it, but World War II broke out in 1939 and France became a puppet of Nazi Germany. The situation remained like this until 1950, when Italian and Iberian forces invaded French Algeria, which led to the division of Algeria into 3 regions. The eastern region was Italy’s and the western region was. For the benefit of the Iberian Union and the city of Algiers was for the French state.
