As the Soviet Union collapsed, Zhukov would find himself joining the West Russian Revolutionary Front, commanding Soviet Remnant Forces that managed to survive the mauling by the Wehrmacht.

West Russian War
In 1955, the German economy collapsed catastrophically, bring most of Europe into depression. With the Germans distracted, Alexander Yegorov ordered the invasion of Reichskommissariat Moskowien, beginning the West Russian War. Zhukov was assigned to the Southern flank of the West Russian Revoltionary Front’s advance.

Zhukov and his troops made quick progress, taking the very sparse German forces on the border by surprise and forcing them to retreat deep into Moscowien. Zhukov pressed deep into Moscowien, hoping to reach Ukraine, supported by partisans who disrupted German transportation and communications. Additionally, the partisans destroyed German fuel supplies, forcing the Germans to fight without air superiority.

However, just at the height of the Front’s power, it began to collapse. The Germans were able to mount a successful defense of Moscow itself, delaying and holding off the Russian offensive. While Zhukov continue his advance mostly unopposed, soon more issues began to arise. After the creation of the Order-State of Burgundy ended the SS revolt in Germany, the Reich was able to focus more of their attention on the war. Zhukov’s southern front came under further attack from Andrey Vlasov and his Russian collaborators, which helped to slow his advance.

Soon, the war began to turn around. Tatar rebels rose up within the front, supported by the Reich. Finally, Kuybyshev itself fell to Vlasov and the Germans, who renamed the city Samara. Zhukov and the Front were forced to flee northwards towards Arkhangelsk, effectively ending the war.
