The Oriental Republic of Uruguay (Spanish: República Oriental del Uruguay) or simply, Uruguay, is a small, South-American nation established in 1825. The country thanks to it wealth and relative stability has given it the nickname "The Switzerland of Latin America". However coming into 1962 that image is coming into question.
