The '''West Russian Revolutionary Front''' is one of the warlord states that existsexist in [[West Russia]]. They border [[Onega]] to the west, the Arctic Ocean to the north, [[Vorkuta]] to the east, and the [[Order of St. George]], [[Komi]], [[Vologda]] and [[Reichskommissariat Moskowien]] to the south. Of all the communist warlords, they can claim to be one of the most legitimate successors to the fallen [[Soviet Union]], owing to their history, leadership and potent military capabilities.

''As the Soviet Union burned, its loyal red army refused to yield to the German inadersinvaders. In the dark days after the Union's collapse, Marshal Alexander Yegorov rallied the surviving troops, and founded the West Russian Revolutionary Front to carry on the struggle against fascism. Striking back at the occupiers, the Front was at the cusp of victory when they were driven back at the last minute, nearly shattering it permanently.''

The Great Patriotic War against the fascist invader cost the Soviet people everything, and then some. The Nazis employed unimaginable cruelty in a crusade against Soviet civilization itself, to the extent where no single man or woman couldn;'t name someone close to them who had been cruelly torn from them by the hands of the Hitlerites.

In the muddled anarchy after the collapse of central government authority, the remanntsremnants of the Red Army in the west reorganised in the city of Kuybyshev under the leadership of Grand Marshall Alexander Yegorov. Across the former territory of the Soviet Union, loyal Red Army units flocked to his banner, including the Sixth and Ninth Armies under Marshals [[Mikhail Tukhachevsky|Mikhail Nikolayevich Tukhachevsky]] and [[Georgy Zhukov|Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov]], respectively. With these powerful mechanized forces and an alliance with prominent political figures the newly formed West Russian Revolutionary front was able to exert authority over all of the shattered remannts of the Union which remained west of the Urals.

In the late 1950's, with the [[Greater Germanic Reich|Reich]] paralysed by the deadliest economic crash in history, and the redRed armyArmy only becoming more eager to avenge their defeat, Frand Marshal Yegorov decided that the time had come to launch [[West Russian War|Operation Suvorov]], the liberation of all Soviet lands currently occupied by German forces. Despite [[Lazar Kaganovich]] refusing to commit the forces of the [[West Siberian People's Republic]] to the operation, the Red Army's advance was swift and brutal. Stalingrad was liberated on day 28 of the operation, pronotingprompting an attemotpedattempted coup by the [[Schutzstaffel|SS]] under [[Heinrich Himmler]]. Spurred by the infighting within the enemy's ranks, Red armyArmy troops reached the outskirts of LeningardLeningrad and Moscow by day 40.

Riding high on this wave of success, few noticed the cracks that had formed within the Front's political structure over the years. The exact cause of the disintegration of the Front during the West Russian War remains unknown, with theories ranging formfrom an attempted seizure of power by [[Mikhail Suslov|Suslov]] to the breakdown of the critically overextended command structure. Facing threats to the security of the military leadership in the face of a renewed German offensive employing the collaborationist forces of the [[Russian Liberation Army]] and [[Vladimir Romanov]], the government was relocated to the city of Syktyvkar. Following the political turmoil, and the string of defeats at the hands of the enemy, the [[Komi|Republic of Komi]] seceded from the Front, and the subsequent string of defections and secessions marked the end of the West Russian War and the death of the West Russian Revolutionary Front.

Or so the Germans thought. The Front lives on, clinging to life amongst the permafrost tundra around the embattled city of Arkhangelsk, with its general bitterly divided after the catastrophivcatastrophic failure of Operation Suvorov. Marshals Mikhail Nikolayevich Tukhachevsky and Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov are widely considered to be the two potential successors intin hethe event of Yegorov's untimely death.

Now, in 1962, the Front's situation is a precarious one. Beyond the territoiresterritories controlled by Arkhangelsk lie statelets run by illegitimate secessionists, collaborators, Tsarists, and other contenders. Only time will tell if the Front will regain its posiitonposition as the defender of Western Russia, and, potentially, reunite the Motherland, to avenge those who fell and deliver justice upon Germany.

This was likely changed due to the fact thatbecause Voroshilov was very loyal to Stalin, as well as the fact that in the path for Bukharin in the base game's ''No Step Back'' DLC, if the player opted to overthrow Stalin in a civil war, Yegorov would be guaranteed to defect to the player's side if he wasn't purged.
