Alexander Altunin

Alexander Altunin was born on the 14th of August, 1921 to a Russian peasant family in Steklyanka, Russian SFSR. He is a general in the West Russian Revolutionary Front, and a member of Zhukov's clique.

Early Life[edit | edit source]

Altunin grew up in his hometown in the Omsk oblast.

Graduating from secondary school in the village of Izylbash in the Cherlak region in 1937. He worked as an accountant of the Molotovsky district financial department in the village of Molotovo and acted as a secretary of the Ermolovsky village council.

Military Career and World War 2[edit | edit source]

In 1939. Altunin joined the Red Army and graduated from an infantry school in Novosibirsk just 12 days before Operation Barbarossa. On the day of the German invasion of USSR, he joined the Kharkov Military District in Ukraine as a lieutenant. During the battles against the Germans, he sustained wounds near Smolensk and in the Kerch peninsula.

He was evacuated subsequently from the Kerch Peninsula, where he caught typhus while recovering, leading to his further evaucation to the rear as the Germans pushed ever closer.

Post World War 2 and West Russian War[edit | edit source]

Recovering and sent to train new conscripts, Altunin subsquently rejoined the fight, joining the West Russian Revolutionary Front and became a very important figure in the WRRF. He distinguished himself in the chaos of the West Russian War, climbing the ranks to attain the rank of General.

After the West Russian War[edit | edit source]

Despite the failure of the West Russian War, Altunin remained loyal to the WRRF and played an active role in reshaping the military. He would align with Zhukov's policies in the power struggle of the 2 Marshals, quietly serving in the background.

Post Midnight (Spoilers)[edit | edit source]

After the collapse of Tabortisky's Holy Russian Empire, Altunin takes over territories of the reformed WRRF aswell as Vorkuta, creating the North Russian Liberation Front, a country without an ideology, as he claims that bad things happen to Russia due to people hiding behind the curtain of ideology. If he unifies Russia, he will create the Russian People's Union.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

Originally, Altunin would be another option for the leadership of the WRRF after Voroshilov's death, prior to the WRRF rework, but that was cut because he looked to similar to Zhukov.
