Mendi, officially the Mendi State, is a country on the southwest coast of West Africa. It shares its southeastern border with Liberia, while the northern half of the country is surrounded by Guinea and the southwest is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean.

History

With the British retreat from Africa, the colony of Sierra Leone declared independence. this new republic would not lost, as just 4 days later head of the country's armed forces David Lasana overthrew the government in a coup, declaring the Mendi State, and becoming one of Africas youngest leaders at the time.
