The National Union (Portuguese: União Nacional) is one of the two ruling political parties in the Iberian Union. The National Union rule the Portugal portion of the Union and are lead by António de Olivera Salazar. Formed in 1930, the party was founded as a way for Salazar to unify the various political group that back his dictatorship.
