The East is Red is a Sub-Mod for the HOI4 mod The New Order. Originally a Chinese only mod released on the 19th of March 2022, it was translated to english and uploaded to the workshop on the 16th of November 2022. Its goals are to completely rework the Asian continent and to add Communist Paths to multiple nations in Asia.

The Premise of the Mod is that Mao Zedong survives the Second World War, and allies himself with communist holdouts in Xinjiang and Mongolia.
