East India, officially the Government of Free India, known also by its Indian name Azad Hind, is a country in southern Asia on the Indian subcontinent. It claims sovereignty over all of the former territory of the British Raj, which includes all the territory controlled by the Republic of India. The states of East and West India have been in a frozen civil war since World War II.
