The Ural League is a Russian warlord state located in the Southern Urals. It borders the Aryan Brotherhood and Zlatoust to the north, Magnitogorsk to the east, the Dirlewanger Brigade and Orenburg to the south and Bashkortostan to the east.

The state itself was formed by a union of former prisoners and guards from the Vorkuta gulag, led by Latvian priest Father Jānis Mendriks. Their self-proclaimed goal is to defend those in the Southern Urals from the forces of evil. They are not a unifier as of the The Ruin update, but they do still have several years' worth of content.

History[edit | edit source]

The Guard[edit | edit source]

Villains and Heroes[edit | edit source]

In the chaos of post-war Russia, there are many villains and few heroes. Nowhere is this split more apparent than in the Urals, where the soldiers of the Ural League face off against the mad scientists of Magnitogorsk and the horrific bandits of the Dirlewanger Brigade.

Warriors[edit | edit source]

The warriors of the Ural League were once mere prisoners and guards, locked in the Siberian wastelands of Vorkuta and left to rot. When the Germans invaded, however, all differences had to be thrown aside. Bound together by the influence of Father Jānis Mendriks and the knowledge that, if neither worked with the other, all would perish, the guards and prisoners embarked on a long trek southwards, leaving only the worst of their ranks behind. through the mountains they went, fighting off enemy after enemy as their numbers dwindled, finally settling down at the southern edge of the Urals, where they swore to protect the good and the innocent in the region.

Southern Urals[edit | edit source]

The Ural Guard has only hardened since that time, as the situation in the Southern Urals has deteriorated greatly since their arrival. To the south, Dirlewanger's Brigade wreaks havoc throughout the undefended souls of the area, raping, looting, and killing as they please. To the east, the Black Mountain churns smoke as thousands flee from the experiments of Trofim Lysenko and the NKVD. To the west, the Orenburg communes stand immobile, paralyzed by the constant bickering of their bloated system and unable to defend themselves. The goals of the Ural Guard are still the same as they were when they arrived, and it's certain that they'll give their all in attempting to fulfil it. Whether they'll succeed, however, is a question that is yet unresolved.

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

The Ural League starts with the following national spirits:

Name In-Game Description Effects
Luftwaffe Terror Bombing With depressing regularity, Luftwaffe bombers from the airfields of Reichskommissariat Moskowien fly over the warlord states of western Russia, bombing everything they can see and affecting nearly every aspect of Russian life as a result. The only salvation comes in the form of the Free Aviators, who strive to intercept them at every opportunity. If not for them, the situation in Russia would be far more dire.
