Yakutia, officially the Sakha Republic, is a Russian warlord state located in the Far East. It borders the Unorganized Siberian Territories to the north and west, Magadan to the east and Amur, Chita and Buryatia to the south.

They are not a unifier and have no content as of the The Ruin update.

History

Yakutia is a homeland for the Turkic Yakut people, who fought themselves free of Soviet control after Genrikh Yagoda's disastrous attempt to inavde the Central Siberian Republic. The country has since found itself under the control of a series of megacorporations similiar to Novosibirsk - however unlike that state these megacorporations have their own paramilitaries and connections to organized crime groups. The nation's plentiful diamond mines mean many people see it as a source of potential wealth.

The Flight East	Though the West Russian War ended almost a decade ago, Western Russia has never known peace with the Germans. Instead, life has been punctuated by regular bombings from the Luftwaffe, an unending campaign of terror meant to permanently hobble a one-time adversary. Though many Russians have found ways to live amid this violence, others have tried to escape it by fleeing east. This steady stream of refugees has permanently altered the distribution of Russia's population, with many migrating to the far reaches of the country the remain untouched by the Nazi war machine. As Yakutia is not a unfier they will simply remain to themselves until annexed by the Far Eastern unfiier. Chita is the only unifier that can peacefully annex them - the other five will have to conquer them, via a single decision (for Buryatia) or a small focus tree (for the other four).
