The Imperial State of Iran is a nation located in the Middle East. It borders Turkey and Iraq in the west, Reichskommissariat Kaukasien and Turkmenistan in the north, and Afghanistan in the east.
History
Prewar
The Pahlavi dynasty came to power in 1921, overthrowing the Qajars. the new Shah Rehza began policies to modernise the country, renaming Persia to Iran in 1935.
Second World War and Post War
In 1944, Shah With the collapse of the Soviet Union, Iran moved troops into what remained of the Azerbaijan Soviet Socialist Republic, capturing border territories.
